Key ratings and what they mean
The 87185-429HLF: Push-pull fastening is the BERGSTIK II's built-in retention — no separate lock clip required. The unshrouded header does not provide polarisation keying on the connector body itself; if mis-mate prevention is needed at the board-stack level, the mating receptacle or board silkscreen must handle it. All 29 positions are loaded (no skips), which maximises circuit density but also means there is no empty position to use as a keying slot.

Listed Active — the part is in normal production and sourced to order against BOM quantity. No official L* successor for this 29-position variant; if the board layout can tolerate a different position count, BERGSTIK II offers other standard counts in the same 0.100" footprint.
