Contact system and plating
The 87900-458HLF: Contacts are square-pin phosphor bronze with tin plating on both the mating face and solder tail at 100 µin (2.54 µm) thickness. That full-tin finish gives consistent solderability and resists oxidation on the shelf, though the push-pull mating interface is designed for a limited reconnection cycle — the fastening type is push-pull rather than a locked latching style. Mating contact length is 0.720" (18.29 mm) with a post length of 0.120" (3.05 mm), giving an overall contact length of 0.940" (23.88 mm) — the tall pin provides adequate wipe and stands off the board surface for through-hole wave or hand-solder assembly.
Board footprint and stacking
The 0.100" row spacing matches standard 0.100" pitch for the 58-position dual-row footprint. Insulation height is 0.100" (2.54 mm), placing the board-separation plane at that dimension for vertical stacking configurations. The unshrouded header accepts any standard BERGSTIK II receptacle with matching position count.
Ratings for industrial use
Rated 110 V and 5 A per circuit — the voltage sits comfortably below any derating curve concern at industrial operating temperatures, and the 5 A rating applies per individual contact, not a shared total. The housing carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, satisfying material requirements in enclosed equipment enclosures. Insulation colour is black; the header ships in a bag, not on tape.
