What this header is
The Amphenol 93690-103-30LF is the 30-circuit member of the BERGSTIK® family — a dual-row 0.100" (2.54 mm) pitch breakaway header rated 5 A per circuit at up to 110 V, built for board-to-board or cable-level interconnects. The contact plating is split across the two functional zones: the mating face carries gold (GXT™) at 30.0 µin (0.76 µm) for wear-resistant engagement, while the post side is tin-plated at 39.4 µin (1.00 µm) to support either solder wetting or press-fit interference in the plated-through hole. Termination accommodates two assembly methods — solder into a standard 0.100" through-hole grid, or press-fit insertion into a compliant pin hole for applications where a soldered joint is not accessible. The post length of 0.177" (4.50 mm) gives adequate stand-off for both routes. The push-pull fastening on an unshrouded header is a deliberate retention detail — it provides more reliable engagement than plain friction-fit breakaway headers, useful in board-to-board stacks or cable assemblies where repeated matings or vibration are expected. The housing is UL94 V-0 rated black thermoplastic.
