TNC Plug for RG-59/62 — 50 Ohm, 11 GHz, Threaded Coupling
The threaded coupling (TNC) gives it a vibration-resistant mate that won't shake loose in a cabinet or on a mast, unlike a bayonet BNC. Gold plating on the brass centre contact keeps corrosion at bay across the 500 mating cycles the connector is rated for.
This plug accepts RG-59 and RG-62 cable groups — common 75 Ohm video cables, though the connector itself is 50 Ohm. If you're re-terminating a run of RG-59 on site, this crosses into the harness you've got with a standard crimp tool.
Voltage and Environmental Headroom
Rated 500 V, which is generous for an RF connector — it can handle power-over-coax or test signals without worrying about flashover. The nickel body finish and gold centre contact plating give it the corrosion resistance you'd want in a coastal or industrial environment.
