50 Ohm BNC Jack for RG-179 Cable — Panel Mount Bulkhead
Rated for 500 mating cycles, it suits test equipment, patch panels, and instrumentation where repeated reconnections are routine.
What Comes in the Box — 5-Piece Termination Kit
The bulk package includes five pieces: one BNC connector body, one center contact, one crimp ferrule, one lockwasher, and one nut. That is everything needed to terminate a cable end — no separate hardware order for the panel mount hardware.
Cable Match and Assembly
This jack is built for RG-179 and its variants (179A, 179B, 187, 187A, Belden 9221, M17/94-RG179). The crimp ferrule and center contact are sized for that cable group — wrong die, wrong crimp. Use the manufacturer-recommended crimp die for RG-179 to get a gas-tight connection on both the braid and the center conductor.
Electrical and Mechanical Ratings
50 Ohm impedance, 4 GHz maximum frequency, 500 V voltage rating, and 0.2 dB insertion loss. The 500 mating cycles are standard for a bayonet-lock BNC — fine for bench use and patch panels where the connector sees daily reconnections. The dielectric is polyoxymethylene (POM) acetal, which holds up to the 500 V rating without tracking.
