Product details

Panel-Mount BNC Jack, Right-Angle Solder Tails

The 031-5486-10RFX: The right-angle through-hole solder tails let the signal route parallel to the PCB, saving height in an enclosure. The body is zinc die cast with a nickel finish; the dielectric is polypropylene. A board lock and isolated construction are included — the board lock holds the right-angle tails during wave solder, and the isolation prevents unwanted ground paths through the panel face.

The package is a tray, which suits hand-assembly or pick-and-place lines that feed from a tray magazine.

Voltage and Environmental Range

The bayonet lock gives a positive mate that resists vibration loosening better than a push-on connector.

Frequently asked questions

Is 031-5486-10RFX compatible with RG58 cable?

This is a panel-mount jack with solder-cup termination — it does not directly accept a coaxial cable. RG58 would need to be terminated with a BNC plug (male) that mates with this jack. The 50 Ohm impedance is consistent with RG58, so the interface is electrically compatible when a proper plug is used.

What is the operating frequency range for 031-5486-10RFX?

The 50 Ohm impedance holds through the full range, making it suitable for baseband video, RF test signals, and telecom clock distribution up to 1 GHz.
