Crimp Termination — Cable Prep Matters
The centre contact and shield both terminate by crimp — no solder, no clamp. Use the correct hex crimp die for the ferrule and centre pin; a loose crimp on the centre contact raises VSWR above the datasheet floor.
500 Mating Cycles — Field-Service Grade
That's standard for a BNC in test-equipment or patch-panel duty — the bayonet lock wears the plating less than a threaded interface. The 500 V rating is a conservative air-gap limit; at 75 Ohm and 4 GHz, the practical voltage in the cable is far lower.
