What the Key Specs Mean for the Install
The 75 Ohm impedance is not a typo — this is a video-grade BNC, not the 50 Ohm version common in data comms. Mating it with a 50 Ohm cable or connector will create an impedance mismatch that degrades return loss above a few hundred megahertz. The 12 GHz bandwidth is well beyond the 3 GHz ceiling of most HD-SDI links, so this connector won't be the bottleneck in a 12G-SDI path.
