The kit ships as three pieces: the connector body, a crimp ferrule, and a gasket — everything needed to terminate the cable end in one pass, no separate insulator to source.
What Cable It Takes and How It Terminates
Cable group is Belden 4694R — that's the precision 75 Ohm coax used for 3G/HD-SDI broadcast video and high-frequency test leads. The crimp ferrule and gasket are matched to this cable's jacket diameter and dielectric, so the shield termination and environmental seal land correctly. Contact termination is also crimp — no solder pot here. The centre contact crimps onto the signal conductor, the ferrule crimps over the braid and jacket. Shield termination is crimp as well, meaning the outer braid gets captured under the ferrule for a 360° ground. Dielectric material is PTFE — the same polytetrafluoroethylene used in high-frequency coax. It holds the 75 Ohm impedance stable across temperature and doesn't cold-flow under the crimp pressure. Why This Variant Over the 034-1107-12G or 034-1118-12G
The 034-1121-12G is the only one in this trio that ships with a gasket and is pre-configured for Belden 4694R. The 034-1107-12G includes a contact and insulator instead of the gasket, and targets Belden 1855 A and 4855R — different cable diameters, different ferrule. The 034-1118-12G swaps the crimp centre contact for a solder termination and includes an end cap and insulator, no ferrule at all. If your BOM calls for Belden 4694R and a full crimp termination with environmental gasket, the 034-1121-12G is the one. The 034-1026 is a standard 4 GHz BNC, same 75 Ohm but nowhere near the 18 GHz bandwidth of the HD variant. If your signal path is below 4 GHz and the cable is RG-122 or Belden 1855, the 034-1026 is a cost-effective alternative — but it lacks the gasket and the high-frequency headroom.
