HD BNC Bulkhead Jack for RG-402 Semi-Rigid Coax
The Amphenol RF 034-5043 is an HD BNC jack — the high-density variant of the standard BNC interface, rated to 6 GHz compared to the conventional 4 GHz ceiling of a standard BNC. This is a 50 Ohm, single-port, panel-mount bulkhead jack with a bayonet lock, designed for RG-402 (0.086" conformable) semi-rigid coaxial cable.
What the 6 GHz Ceiling Means for Signal Path Design
The 6 GHz maximum frequency extends the usable bandwidth beyond the standard BNC ceiling.
Cable Preparation and Termination
This jack terminates to RG-402 (0.086" conformable) semi-rigid coax via a crimp-on centre contact and a crimp shield termination. The shield termination is crimp style — the braid or outer conductor of the semi-rigid cable is captured by the connector body during the crimp operation. The centre contact is crimped separately onto the centre conductor. The kit includes the contact and the mounting nut; the user provides the RG-402 cable and a crimp tool matched to the 0.086" cable diameter. The panel mount uses a front-side nut, so the connector installs from the outside of the panel with the nut tightened from the rear.
