RG-178 Crimp and Cable Fit
The 034-5074: This plug terminates to RG-178 cable via a crimp-on shield termination and a crimp contact. RG-178 is a thin, 50 Ohm double-shielded coax (about 0.070-inch diameter) used in tight-bend applications inside modules or patch panels. The beryllium copper body and phosphor bronze centre contact with gold plating handle the 500 mating cycles — that gold is what keeps the contact resistance stable through repeated connects in the field. If you are working with RG-174 (slightly thicker at 0.110-inch), the cable entry diameter on this plug will not fit; you want the 034-5075 variant for that cable group.
