Product details

Mini UHF Jack for RG-58 and LMR-195 Cable Assemblies

The Amphenol RF 081-183-RFX is a mini UHF jack (female socket) in the 081-183 series, designed for field-terminated coaxial cable assemblies where a threaded, 50 Ohm interconnect is needed up to 2.2 GHz. The nickel-plated zinc die-cast body and gold-plated brass centre contact give this jack the corrosion resistance and mating-cycle life for portable radio gear, antenna leads, and test-point cables that get reconnected regularly.

Which Cables It Crimps Onto

The 081-183-RFX is listed for RG-58, 58A, 58B, 58C, 141, 303, LMR-195, Belden B7806A, and 9907 — the common 50 Ohm coax types with a nominal 0.195-inch jacket diameter. If your BOM calls for LMR-195 or Belden 9907, this is the correct jack. For RG-174 or RG-316 (thinner jacket), you need the 081-183-1000 variant with a different ferrule bore.

Threaded fastening — mates with any standard mini UHF plug. Free-hanging in-line mount, no panel cut-out needed. Shield and centre contact both crimp; the PTFE dielectric stays in place during the crimp cycle.

Voltage and Temperature Envelope

The 335 V ceiling is the air-gap limit at the mating interface, not the cable rating — stay below that peak for the PTFE dielectric to hold its insulation resistance. The temperature range covers outdoor telecom cabinets and unheated industrial enclosures.

Frequently asked questions

How many mating cycles does 081-183-RFX support?
