N-Type Field-Install Kit for Small-Diameter Coax
The Amphenol 082-6034 is an N-Type plug, male pin, delivered as a complete field-install kit — 6 pieces: one connector body, one barrel, one contact, one ferrule, one PTFE insulator, and one coupling nut. This is not a bare plug; it is a one-line-item kit for building an N-Type termination on small-diameter coax in the field.
The N-Type interface is specified to 6 GHz with 0.15 dB insertion loss. The 1500 V rating covers RF duty.
The kit lists RG-174, RG-188A, RG-316, LMR-100, and M17/119-RG174. Contact termination is crimp or solder.
Temperature Range and Deployment Context
This is the spec that tells you the kit is built for outdoor, industrial, or defense environments — antenna mounts in cold climates, engine-bay test harnesses, or sealed enclosures near heat sources. The gold-plated centre contact and nickel-plated brass body resist corrosion through those temperature swings. The threaded coupling nut gives a vibration-resistant mate that stays tight under thermal cycling.
