ZIF actuation and retention
The 10051922-2610ELF: Zero insertion force (ZIF) with a slide lock actuator: the FPC inserts without force on the contacts, then the slide lock clamps the cable in place. This avoids scoring the thin 0.30mm FPC pads during assembly.
Contact rating and mating cycles
The 50 V rating is typical for signal-level FPC interconnects in consumer and industrial electronics. Gold contact finish at 2.00 µin thickness: this is a flash plating, rated for 20 mating cycles. In a product that sees the connector mated only once during manufacture, the cycle life is adequate. For repeated field reconnections, a thicker gold (15+ µin) sibling would be needed.
Position variants in the VLL series
The same 0.50mm pitch, 1.30mm height, and ZIF slide lock are shared across the VLL family. The 26-position version (10051922-2610ELF) sits between the 24-position (10051922-2410ELF) and 28-position (10051922-2810ELF) siblings — the only difference is the contact count, so the PCB footprint length scales accordingly.
