Solder retention for reflow reliability
The header includes solder retention features that anchor it to the board during reflow. The right-angle body places the pins close to the board surface, so the solder joints take the shear load from the cable strain rather than the pin-to-body interface. The housing is molded from Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) rated UL94 V-0, which withstands lead-free soldering temperatures without distortion. The natural (off-white) color is standard for the series.
