Kinked pin solder tails — the kink provides a press-fit retention in the plated through-hole before wave solder, so the header stays put during assembly handling. Post length is 0.126" (3.20 mm), enough for a standard 1.6 mm PCB with good solder fillet visibility. Tin is the economical choice for moderate mating cycle duty — expect several hundred cycles before contact fretting becomes a concern. Current rating depends on wire gauge in the mating half — the header itself is rated per the system derating curve. In practice, with 20 AWG wire, each contact handles about 5 A at a 30°C temperature rise; the 3.00 mm pitch keeps adjacent contacts cool enough for that current density.
RoHS compliant, UL94 V-0 housing. No direct drop-in replacement from Amphenol ICC; the Minitek Pwr 3.0 family covers the same pitch and current class, so a different position count or plating option would require a board layout change.
