Current and Contact Rating
The copper alloy contact material carries the current; the gold layer protects against oxidation during storage. The UL94 V-0 thermoplastic housing handles the thermal load, but current derating above 85°C ambient follows the material's curve — the 3 A rating is at 25°C ambient.
The 12-position variant (912002ALF) sits alongside a 10-position sibling (910001ALF) in the same series — same pitch, plating, and SMT package. If the BOM allows a position reduction, the 10-position part is a drop-in footprint fit with the outer two pads depopulated.
