Header for Wire-to-Board with Friction Lock
The 3-641119-8: This is a single-row, 8-position header from the MTA-156 series, designed for board-to-cable/wire applications. The 0.156" (3.96mm) pitch gives a roomier footprint than finer-pitch headers, making it easier to route traces and hand-solder if needed.
Through-hole solder termination with a 0.125" (3.18mm) post length. The overall contact length of 0.650" (16.51mm) gives enough standoff for the mating housing to latch cleanly. Insulation height is 0.425" (10.80mm) — check clearance above the board if you're stacking components. Housing is natural-colored thermoplastic, glass-filled, rated UL94 V-0. The single-wall shroud guides the mating plug but doesn't fully enclose the pins — orientation matters when the cable assembly is plugged in blind.
