RP-SMA Plug for RG-8X and LMR-240 Coax
The 50 Ohm impedance and 12.4 GHz maximum frequency make it suitable for Wi-Fi, ISM-band, and general-purpose RF interconnects where the cable group matches. The shield is crimped, the centre contact is soldered — a standard two-step termination that requires a crimp tool for the ferrule and a soldering iron for the pin.
The 132231RP is engineered for RG-8X, Belden 9258, and LMR-240 cables — all ~0.195-inch-diameter 50-ohm coax types with a solid or stranded centre conductor. The crimp ferrule captures the braid; the solder cup accepts the centre conductor.
Durability and Mating Life
The threaded coupling nut provides consistent axial compression, reducing wear on the centre contact compared to a push-on interface.
