The 172224-24: It's a panel-mount flange connector with threaded fastening — the standard interface for medium-power RF transmission lines up to microwave frequencies. The white bronze body finish on a brass shell resists corrosion better than plain nickel in outdoor or marine air, and the included gasket seals the panel cutout against moisture ingress. Extended insulation in the PTFE dielectric gives extra creepage distance for the centre conductor, which helps at the upper end of the frequency band where voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) starts to climb.

The PTFE dielectric keeps its dielectric constant stable across that range, so the 50 Ohm impedance holds.
What It Ships With and How It Mounts
The package includes two pieces: the connector body and a separate gasket. The gasket seats between the flange and the panel face to seal the hole — water finds the open splice, so don't skip it. Panel mount with a flange, four-hole pattern typical for N-type bulkhead jacks. The shield termination is solder — you tin the braid and flow it into the shell cup. The centre contact also terminates by solder, so you'll need a soldering iron rated for the brass body's heat sink.
