N Type Cap for Jack Protection
The Amphenol RF 202102-10 is a protective cap (cover) for N Type jacks, designed to shield the mating interface from dust, debris, and mechanical damage when the connector is unmated. The brass body carries a nickel finish, giving it the silver appearance listed in the spec, and the cap threads onto the standard N Type jack coupling nut. It is the accessory that completes the RF path protection — without it, the exposed centre conductor and dielectric are vulnerable to contamination and corrosion in field environments.
Construction and Fit
Machined from brass with a nickel body finish, the cap threads onto the standard N Type jack coupling nut.
202102-10 vs. 202102-11 — Chain Option
The 202102-10 ships in a bag without a chain. The sibling 202102-11 is otherwise identical — same brass body, nickel finish, N Type interface — but adds a chain for tethering the cap to the cable or panel. For field-service technicians who need to keep the cap from walking off during a disconnect-reconnect cycle, the 202102-11 is the better pick. For bench or rack use where the cap stays on the jack until the cable is mated, the 202102-10 saves the cost of the chain.
No official second-source cross-reference is on record.
