Product details

F Type Receptacle, 75 Ohm, 1 GHz — Bulkhead Mount with Hardware

Rated to 1 GHz max frequency, this is the connector you'd see on a CATV drop amplifier, a satellite IF distribution panel, or a head-end patch bay where the signal path is 75 Ohm end to end.

75 Ohm Impedance — Not 50 Ohm

This is a 75 Ohm connector, not 50 Ohm. The impedance is set by the dielectric material — polypropylene (PP) in this case — and the centre conductor dimensions. If you're replacing a connector on a 75 Ohm cable run (RG-6, RG-59, or similar), this is the right match. Drop it into a 50 Ohm system and you'll get a reflection at the interface; the VSWR penalty depends on frequency, but above a few hundred MHz it's noticeable.

The 222128-11 mounts through a panel hole with the front-side nut — the lockwasher goes between the nut and the panel face to keep it tight under vibration. The right-angle tail keeps the PCB parallel to the panel face, which saves depth in a shallow enclosure.

Mating Cycles and Contact Plating

Tin is fine for a connector that gets mated once during installation and maybe a handful of times over its life — think set-top box wall plate or a satellite LNB input.

Frequently asked questions

Does 222128-11 come with lockwasher and nut?

Yes, the package includes 3 pieces: the connector, a lockwasher, and a nut. You get the mounting hardware in the box — no separate order needed for the bulkhead fasteners.
