The Amphenol 222167-10 is an F-type jack with a 75 Ohm nominal impedance, built for the RG-179 Double Braid cable group. The jack handles signals up to 3 GHz, which covers the full L-band satellite IF and most digital video transport streams. The package includes four pieces: the connector body, a crimp ferrule for the shield, a lockwasher for vibration resistance, and a hex nut for front-side bulkhead mounting. That means one order code gets you the complete mechanical assembly — no separate hardware line item for the BOM. The body is machined brass with a tin finish, and the centre contact is also brass with tin plating. Tin on the centre contact keeps cost down for a 100-mating-cycle rated jack — adequate for set-top and head-end equipment where the connector is terminated once and rarely re-mated. The dielectric is polypropylene, which holds the 75 Ohm line impedance across the 3 GHz band. That keeps the cable entry on the outside of the enclosure and the solder connection inside, which is the standard layout for wall plates and equipment chassis.
