Why 75 Ohm and 6 GHz Matter for Your Signal Chain
At 75 Ohm, the connector is a drop-in for 75 Ohm cable and PCB traces — use it where the system impedance is set by video distribution, broadband RF, or test equipment that expects 75 Ohm. The 6 GHz upper limit means it passes the full DOCSIS 3.1 upstream band (5–204 MHz) and satellite IF (950–2150 MHz) with margin, and it works for lower microwave links up to 6 GHz. If your system is 50 Ohm, this is not the right part — the impedance mismatch would cause a reflection and insertion loss penalty. The PTFE dielectric material also keeps the loss low at the upper end of the band.
