The 282104: This jack terminates RG-174, RG-188, RG-188A, RG-316, LMR-100, and M17/119-RG174 — the common small-diameter 50 Ohm coax cables used in jumpers, pigtails, and internal RF harnesses. The centre contact is solder-terminated; the shield is crimped via the included ferrule. That solder-on-centre approach gives a reliable connection at the pin, while the crimp on the braid handles the mechanical and electrical shield bond.
Brass body with gold finish, PTFE dielectric — the gold resists corrosion in humid or outdoor cabinet environments, and the PTFE holds stable dielectric properties across the full -40°C to 150°C operating range. Free-hanging (in-line) mounting suits cable-to-cable or cable-to-bulkhead applications where a board-mounted jack won't fit the layout.
