Fakra SMB Plug for RG-58 Cable Groups
The 2FA1-NASP-C04W1: It belongs to the 2FA1 series of Fakra connectors, which add a colour-coded mechanical keying and a locking ramp — absent on standard SMB — to prevent cross-mating in multi-connector automotive and telecom harnesses. Gold-plated brass centre contact — the gold layer handles the 100 mating cycles without fretting corrosion at the signal interface.
The cable group list covers the most common 50 Ohm coax types used in automotive antenna feeds, GPS, and cellular telematics. RG-58 and LMR-195 are the usual picks — both fit the crimp barrel diameter without adapters. The free-hanging (in-line) mounting style and locking ramp make this plug a direct mate to the corresponding Fakra receptacle (Code A keying). No board footprint to design; the cable assembly terminates at the harness end.
