Cable Compatibility and Assembly
The 31-202: This plug accepts RG-58, 58A, 58B, 58C, 141, 303, LMR-195, Belden B7806A, and 9907 cable groups. The center contact is soldered (solder termination), and the shield is secured with a clamp — a field-reliable method that avoids the need for a crimp tool. The silver-plated brass center contact and nickel-plated brass body provide good conductivity and corrosion resistance for indoor and sheltered outdoor use.
The 500 V rating is typical for BNC interfaces and covers most RF and low-power applications.
The 31-206 includes a lockwasher and nut for panel mounting, whereas the 31-202 comes with a gasket and washer for cable-end assembly. Choose the 31-202 when you need a male plug on the cable end; choose the 31-206 for a panel-mount receptacle.
