72-Pin Breakaway Header — Obsolete but Sourced
Lifecycle status is Obsolete per the manufacturer. No official replacement or successor is listed.
Footprint and Routing Fit
The 0.100" pitch sets the PCB footprint: a 72-position dual-row header occupies a 36-pin-per-row layout, with 0.100" row spacing. Unshrouded headers like this one mate with standard 0.100" pitch IDC sockets or crimp receptacles. The push-pull fastening means the mating half provides the retention — no locking latch, so in high-vibration environments, a receptacle with a friction lock or TPA is recommended.
