USB Type-A Receptacle, 4 Contacts, SMD Right-Angle — 87583-0010BHLF
It carries a 3 A current rating per contact, sufficient for standard USB power delivery alongside data lines.
A standard USB 2.0 connector is often rated for 1500 cycles, but the Gold GXT™ plating on this part ensures the contact resistance stays stable through that life. If your product requires a port that gets reconnected daily — say, a programming jig or a panel-mount extension — this connector will hold up without the intermittent opens that tin-plated contacts develop after a few hundred cycles.
Board Lock and SMD Right-Angle — Assembly Fit
The board lock feature — two metal tabs that solder into plated through-holes — anchors the connector against the lateral force of plug insertion. Without those locks, an SMD-only USB connector can lift pads after repeated mating. The unshielded shell (copper alloy) means this is a bare-bones USB port; if EMI suppression is needed, a shielded variant or ferrite on the cable is required.
It is RoHS Compliant.
