What the 26.5 GHz Rating Means for Your Signal Path
The 26.5 GHz maximum frequency is the connector's usable bandwidth before the VSWR and insertion loss exceed typical system limits. For a standard SMA interface, 18 GHz is the common ceiling; this jack extends past that into the upper microwave range, covering full Ku-band and most K-band applications (radar, satellite uplinks, point-to-point radios).
This jack mates with any standard SMA plug (male pin) with a threaded coupling nut — the thread is the standard 1/4-36 UNS for SMA. The cable group is specifically RG-405 (.085" Semi Rigid), so plan for a cable prep that exposes the centre conductor and trims the outer conductor to the correct length for the solder bucket. The IP67 seal is achieved by the O-ring on the panel face and the compression of the gasket when the mating plug is fully tightened — the connector is not sealed when unmated, so cap the open half in a washdown environment.
The 901-10745 and the 901-10736 are both 50 Ohm SMA jacks, female socket, panel mount bulkhead, with gold-plated brass bodies, beryllium copper centre contacts, 500 mating cycles, and active lifecycle status. The difference that matters for your assembly process is the shield termination: the 901-10745 uses a solder shield termination, while the 901-10736 uses a crimp shield termination. If your harness shop is set up for crimp tooling on RG-405, the 901-10736 is the faster assembly; if you prefer a soldered shield joint for higher reliability in vibration or a lower-profile termination, the 901-10745 is the choice. The centre contact termination is solder on both, so the cable prep for the centre pin is identical.
