Cable Termination and Shield
The 903-505J-51S1: Shield termination is crimp-style, which gives a reliable 360° ground connection to the cable braid. The centre contact is soldered. The specified cable groups are RG-179, RG-188, RG-316 Double Braid, and M17/152-RD316 — all 50 Ohm coax types with similar dielectric diameters. The supplied ferrule and heat shrink complete the termination; the heat shrink seals the cable entry against moisture and strain.
Materials and Environment
The body and centre contact are brass with gold plating. That wide range suits outdoor or engine-compartment environments where the connector sees thermal cycling.
