The Amphenol SV Microwave A-4JA is a 50 Ohm AMC4-series jack with a male centre pin, designed for surface-mount RF board-level interconnects. It operates up to 6 GHz and uses a snap-on fastening mechanism for quick, tool-less mating. The gold-plated copper alloy body and gold centre contact plating suit it for repeated signal-path connections in test equipment, wireless modules, and compact RF assemblies where the 30-cycle mating life is acceptable.
The 60 V rating confirms it carries RF-level voltages, not bus power. The snap-on jack mates with AMC4-compatible plugs; the male centre pin requires the mating half to have a female socket. Surface-mount termination means the connector reflows with the board — no through-hole posts.
The A-1JB is also a 1-port, 50 Ohm, 6 GHz AMC-series jack with snap-on fastening, but it uses a U.FL (UMCC) connector style and a white LCP dielectric housing. The A-4JA uses the AMC4 style with a gold body and thermoplastic dielectric. Both are active, SMT-terminated, and rated 60 V. The choice between them is driven by the mating interface standard — AMC4 vs U.FL — not by electrical performance.
