20-Position ZIF at 0.50mm Pitch — Board Fit First
The F31L-1A7H1-11020 is a 20-position FFC/FPC connector on 0.020" (0.50mm) pitch from the Aorora F31L series by Amphenol ICC (FCI). The ZIF actuator is a slide lock, not a flip-lock. The slide mechanism applies even pressure across the full 20-position row, reducing the risk of skewed insertion that can lift pads on narrow-pitch FFC.
Gold Flash and 30 Mating Cycles — Low-Duty Signal Path
Contacts are gold-plated phosphor bronze with 1.97µin (0.050µm) gold thickness on the mating surface — a flash coating rated for 30 mating cycles minimum. In a production line where the FFC is inserted once and never reconnected, this is sufficient. For field-service applications requiring frequent reconnects, a thicker gold grade (15µin or higher) would be needed. The bottom-contact design means the FFC conductor pads face downward toward the PCB. Verify the cable-end type (straight or tapered) matches the connector entry — the F31L accepts both 0.30mm and 0.33mm thick FFC.
