Pitch and Contact Count for Board Fit
The F32Q-1A7H1-11054: At 54 positions, the connector body spans roughly 27 mm along the board edge, which matters for enclosure clearance and routing density. Top-contact design: the FPC or FFC cable contacts the connector beam from the top side. A cable folded for bottom-contact will short the wrong row — confirm the cable's contact side before assembly.
Current, Voltage, and Mating Cycles
This is a signal-level connector, not a power interconnect. 30 mating cycles minimum with 1.97 µinch gold flash on the contact. The thin gold layer is enough for a few field-service cycles but not repeated daily reconnection. In a production fixture that mates once, this is fine; in a test jig cycled weekly, the gold wears through and tin fretting corrosion can start.
Cable Thickness and Actuator Lock
A 0.50 mm thick cable will not seat and may crack the housing. Slide lock ZIF actuator: zero insertion force until the slide is pushed home, then it clamps the cable. The slide lock holds better than a flip-lock under vibration but requires clearance for the actuator travel on the board.
