20-Position ZIF for Tight Board Edges
The F32R-1A7H1-11020: This is a 20-position, 0.50 mm pitch ZIF connector from the Amphenol ICC Aorora F32R series — the kind you spec when an FPC needs to land on a right-angle board edge and stay put without a secondary latch. The slide lock clamps the cable after insertion, and the bottom-contact arrangement keeps the signal path short to the PCB trace.
Board Fit and FPC Thickness Window
The 2.00 mm height above board (0.079") and right-angle orientation place the FPC parallel to the PCB — common for display or sensor interconnects where z-height is tight. The connector accepts FPC thicknesses of 0.30 mm or 0.33 mm; the contact beams are designed for that range, so a 0.30 mm cable seats correctly and the ZIF lock holds. The LCP housing (UL94 V-0) handles lead-free soldering temperatures without distortion.
