40-Position ZIF for Dense Board Layouts
The F3311A7H121040E200 is a 40-position, 0.50mm-pitch FFC/FPC connector from Amphenol ICC's Aorora F331 series. The ZIF flip-lock actuator (backlock style) secures the FPC without insertion force — you slide the cable in, then flip the black PA9T latch down.
Gold plating at 3.00µin (0.076µm) on the phosphor bronze contacts — this is a flash gold layer, not a heavy-duty finish. In a product that gets assembled once and rarely serviced, that's fine. If your field-replacement plan calls for quarterly reconnects, the gold will wear through and expose the base metal, risking fretting corrosion.
Cable Thickness and Termination Fit
Accepts 0.30mm-thick FFC or FPC with straight cable end type. The contacts mate on both top and bottom of the cable, which means you don't need to specify one-sided stiffener orientation — the connector handles either.
