Mating and Retention: ZIF Slide Lock
Zero insertion force actuation with a slide lock: the actuator opens the contact beams so the FPC slides in without scraping the pads, then the lock closes the contacts and holds the cable against vibration. The connector accepts FPC thickness of 0.33 mm — a 0.3 mm cable will not be gripped reliably without a shim or a different connector. Gold contact finish at 1.97 µinch over phosphor bronze supports 30 mating cycles minimum, adequate for moderate reconnect duty in test or field-service equipment.
