FA1-NBRP-PCB-8: Code-B Fakra Plug for 6 GHz RF Paths
The Code-B keying variant — identified by the cream housing — prevents cross-mating with other Fakra colour codes (A, C, D) in multi-connector harnesses. The locking ramp on the outer shell provides an audible, vibration-resistant mate — a requirement for under-hood or chassis-mounted connections where a standard snap-on SMB would rattle loose. The centre contact is machined brass with gold plating, terminated by soldering to the PCB trace. Rated for 100 mating cycles, which is standard for a Fakra connector — enough for one production mate plus occasional field service, but not a daily-disconnect port.
