Rated for 100 mating cycles, it's built for harness assembly and occasional field service, not a daily-disconnect test port. The gold-plated brass centre contact and PTFE dielectric maintain consistent impedance through the signal path. Code C vs Code D and Code A — What Changes, What Stays the Same
The FA1-NCRP-PCB-8 (Code C, blue housing) shares the same 50 Ohm impedance, 6 GHz bandwidth, 0.3 dB insertion loss, and 100-cycle durability with the FA1-NDRP-PCB-8 (Code D, violet/claret housing) and the FA1-NARP-PCB-8 (Code A, black/jet housing). All three are right-angle through-hole SMB Fakra plugs with gold centre contacts and locking ramps. The only selection-relevant difference is the keying code and housing colour — pick the code that matches your harness's Fakra receptacle. A Code C plug will not mate with a Code A or Code D jack, which is the whole point of the colour-coding system.
