SMB Fakra Jack for RG-58 Cable Runs
The Amphenol RF FA1-NCSJ-C04-6 is a Code C SMB Fakra jack — a female socket designed for free-hanging inline termination to RG-58 class coax. This connector sits in the FA1 series, the Fakra-latched variant of the SMB family, built for automotive-grade RF interconnects where vibration resistance and a positive lock are required.
Cable Prep and Field Termination
The kit includes five pieces per connector: the jack body, the centre contact, the ferrule, the housing, and the locking clip. Cable compatibility covers RG-58, 58A, 58B, 58C, 141, 303, LMR-195, Belden B7806A, and 9907 — all 50 Ohm cables with a similar dielectric diameter. The latch lock snaps onto the mating Fakra plug and holds under vibration; the blue signal housing colour codes the connector for Code C keying, which prevents cross-mating with other Fakra codes.
What the 6 GHz and 100-Cycle Ratings Mean for the Job
The 6 GHz ceiling covers GNSS and WiFi 6/6E bands with margin. The 0.3 dB insertion loss is the total through the mated pair — budget it against your system link loss before the LNA.
