What This HSD Fakra Quadraxial Plug Is
The Rosenberger HSDNARPPCB12B is a single-port HSD Fakra quadraxial plug — a shielded, 100 Ohm impedance connector designed for high-speed differential signals in automotive camera, infotainment, and telematics harnesses. It uses a Code A keying variant, mates with the corresponding HSD Fakra receptacle, and terminates to the PCB through right-angle through-hole solder tails.
The 100 Ohm impedance is matched to differential pair routing for LVDS, automotive Ethernet, or USB signals — the quadraxial contact arrangement carries two signal pairs plus a ground plane. The 25 mating cycles rating is low; this plug is intended for a permanent or semi-permanent harness connection, not frequent disconnect in field service.
Through-hole, right-angle mounting with solder termination on both the signal contacts and the shield. The body finish is nickel over zinc alloy, providing EMI shielding continuity through the connector shell.
