Connector Identity and Build
The HSDNCSPPCB15A: It belongs to the HSD (High-Speed Data) connector family, which uses a quadraxial contact architecture to carry differential signals with controlled impedance.
This plug is terminated via through-hole solder to the PCB, with the shield termination also soldered for a solid ground connection. The single-port design mates with a corresponding HSD Fakra receptacle (female) that uses the same Code C keying — the keying prevents cross-mating with other Fakra color codes. The latch lock engages audibly when fully seated, and the blue housing provides visual identification of the Code C variant.
Packaging for Production Lines
The Tape & Reel option feeds directly into automated pick-and-place lines for high-volume assembly, while Cut Tape suits prototype runs and low-volume builds. The through-hole solder termination requires a wave or selective solder process after placement.
