High-Density D-Sub for Board-Edge I/O
The Amphenol ICC ICD26S13E6GV09LF is a 26-position high-density D-sub receptacle from the ICD series, designed for dense I/O on a standard DA (A) shell size. Rated 3A per contact at 300V, with the current limited more by the contact density than the contact itself; the 3-row arrangement means derating is worth checking if you populate all 26 circuits near the limit. The shell is steel with tin plating, giving EMI shielding and a solid ground reference through the mounting brackets.
This receptacle mates with a standard high-density D-sub plug (male) of the same shell size — DA (A) layout, 26 positions. The female screwlocks (4-40) on the mating side accept the male plug's threaded inserts; torque them to the manufacturer's specification to avoid stripping the threads in the plastic housing. Termination is solder to the through-hole tails — no crimp or IDC option on this variant — so the assembly process is wave-solder or hand-solder to the PCB.
