The PSMP-MSLD-PCT25: The Limited Detent feature means the snap-on retention is lighter than a full-detent version — it mates and unmates with less axial force, which is useful when the connector sits in a tight board stack where you don't want to lever the PCB during disconnect. The trade-off is the 100 mating cycle rating: that's lower than the 500 cycles you'd see on a standard SMP with full detent. If your field-service plan calls for repeated connect-disconnect cycles, this is the number to watch — the gold-on-gold contact interface will wear, and at 100 cycles the retention starts to soften.

Through-Hole Solder Termination — No Cable Here

This is a through-hole solder-terminated jack, not a crimp-on for a cable. The shield termination is solder as well — no ferrule, no braid trap. If you're building a cable assembly, you'd need a different part; this one is meant to live on the board as a receptacle for a mating snap-on plug.
