ZIF Actuation and Slide Lock for Field Service
The SFV12R-3STBE1HLF: Zero insertion force (ZIF) with a slide lock means the FPC is inserted without force on the contacts, then the beige actuator slides to clamp the cable. The slide lock holds the FPC in place against vibration — no secondary latch needed. Rated for 20 mating cycles — this is a fixed-installation connector, not designed for repeated reconnection. In a product that sees one or two cable swaps over its life, the cycle count is adequate.
Rated 0.5A per contact at 50V — the narrow 0.50mm pitch limits current per circuit more than the contact itself.
Gold Contacts and FPC Thickness Compatibility
Gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts resist corrosion and maintain low contact resistance over the 20-cycle life. The connector accepts 0.30mm-thick FPC with a tapered cable end — the taper aids insertion into the ZIF mechanism.
