What bolts in — 16 positions, 0.50mm pitch, ZIF slide lock
The SFV16R-1STE1HLF: Amphenol ICC (FCI) SFV-R series FFC/FPC connector, 16 positions on 0.50mm pitch. Zero insertion force with a slide lock actuator — push the FFC in, slide the lock, done. Bottom contact style: the cable pads face down against the PCB traces. Rated 0.5A per contact at 50V. The tin contact finish and 20 mating cycles mean this is a low-cycle interconnect — good for one assembly cycle, not for repeated field rework. The housing is UL94 V-0 LCP, halogen-free.
Board fit and cable thickness
Surface mount, right-angle orientation. The mated height above the board is 1.80mm — tight enough for slim enclosures. The FFC/FPC must be 0.33mm thick; the cable end is tapered for easier insertion into the ZIF clamp. In a vibration environment the lock alone is adequate for signal-level currents, but the 20-cycle rating means the lock and contacts wear if the cable is cycled often.
How it sits against the sibling SFV16R-4STE1HLF
Both are 16-position, 0.50mm pitch, same height and current rating. The SFV16R-4STE1HLF is a top-contact version — the cable pads face up. The SFV16R-1STE1HLF is bottom-contact. The cable end type differs too: the -1STE1HLF takes a tapered cable; the -4STE1HLF takes a straight or tapered cable. The board layout must match the contact side.
