20 mating cycles is typical for tin-plated contacts — the tin finish wears with each insertion, and after 20 cycles the contact resistance may rise above the acceptable threshold. For applications requiring frequent reconnection, a gold-plated variant in the SFV-R series would extend cycle life.
The LCP housing is glass-filled and halogen-free, meeting the material restrictions for RoHS compliance. The actuator is made from glass-filled PPS, also halogen-free.
