Board-Fit Basics: Pitch, Positions, and Footprint
ZIF Actuation and Slide-Lock Retention
Zero insertion force (ZIF) with a slide lock: the actuator opens to accept the FFC without force on the contacts, then slides closed to clamp the cable. Accepts FFC thickness of 0.30mm or 0.33mm with a straight or tapered cable end. The bottom-contact arrangement means the FFC pads face the PCB — confirm the cable orientation before assembly.
Tin is the economical choice for low-cycle applications — 20 cycles covers prototype rework and a handful of field swaps, but not repeated disconnect in a service loop.
