Cable Thickness and Actuator Compatibility
This connector accepts FPC cables 0.33 mm thick. The SMT termination and 5.30 mm height above board suit it for space-constrained assemblies where the FPC routes directly to the board edge. The brown housing colour is a visual identifier within the SFW series — the black-housing sibling SFW10S-2STE9LF uses a slide lock instead of the standard front-flip ZIF actuator.

The SFW10S-2STAE1LF uses gold-plated contacts. The tin-finished sibling SFW10S-2STME1LF is otherwise identical — same pitch, same 10 positions, same ZIF actuation. Tin is cost-optimised for one-time or infrequent mating in a clean, indoor environment.
