1.00 mm Pitch Vertical ZIF – What It Fits
The SFW16S-2STE1LF is a 16-position, 1.00 mm pitch vertical FFC/FPC connector with a zero-insertion-force (ZIF) actuator. The ZIF mechanism means the flexible cable slides in without bending contacts – useful when you're swapping cables on a live board and don't want to stress the pads. Tin is fine for low-cycle signal duty; the 20 mating cycles listed tell you this is a set-and-forget interconnect, not a frequent-disconnect port. The 5.30 mm height above board leaves room for routing under the cable.

Field Fit – What Crosses Into the Harness
On site, you can re-pin by sliding the actuator open, inserting the FFC, and closing it. No special tool needed beyond a pair of tweezers. The 0.33 mm FFC thickness is specific – a 0.30 mm cable will also seat, but the contact beam preload is lower. Stick with the listed thickness for full wipe and retention. The housing won't soften or crack in a hot enclosure near a power supply.
